Abertay Sports Injuries Clinic
Abertay Sports Injuries Centre (ASIC) is a multi-disciplinary centre that brings together expertise from the areas of sports medicine and sports science and delivers them to the individual.
The Centre provides a comprehensive service to everyone and is delivered by our staff who are highly-qualified in a range of areas including the diagnosis of injuries, rehabilitation advice, screening and advice on appropriate training methods. They are also qualified in massage and acupuncture. The physio's often use the Abertay Sports Performance Laboratory housed next to the clinic in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of injuries.
The Centre is staffed by our physiotherapists with specialist knowledge of sports injuries and significant sports-specific knowledge gained through competing at an international level in major championship events. When you consult the physiotherapists they will perform a thorough and detailed examination. Drawing on the conclusions of the assessment, they will advise on the most appropriate treatment.
