Fourth year Accounting with Finance student Gavin Cruickshanks has been selected as one of the Scottish umpires for this years Great Britain Super League, an annual hockey event for stars of the immediate future.  GB Hockey introduced the GBSL in 2007 to showcase players, coaches, umpires and officials who have the ability and aptitude to participate in future Olympic Games. The competition is designed as a means of identifying talent and is a proven pathway for success.  Some of the individuals that umpired during GBSL 2011 are now on the world panel for umpires with at least two of them selected to umpire in London this summer.  Many congratulations to Abertay Hockey Club Captain Gavin and best of luck to him for this years event.
